It was a chilly morning, like always, in the Havir packs territory. A breeze was waving and the wolves were either hunting for meal or patrolling the borders. For an omega there was not much to do. Well, for them there was nothing to do. A young black and grey omega was sitting around in the camp(?). She was new here and observed the others and their doings. The she-wolf laid then down after a while and put her head onto her paws, making a bored breath. Another wolf caught the black omegas eyes, who just passed her by. She glanced up at him and gave him a greeting nod, her green eyes shone calmly yet a bit insecurely at him.

:icontisea:

Cyrus was busy making his rounds and had only returned back to the main den site for a quick meal. He had finished and was on his way back out when one of the newer pack members caught his eye. The guardian frowns slightly and yet slows to a stop, nodding his head curtly to the female. "I'd recommend you find something to busy yourself with... the Alpha doesn't take kindly to those who lounge about.." He gives her a crooked somewhat roguish grin, "My name is Cyrus... I don't believe we've met yet?"

:iconk-loud:

The black wolf blinked at him, with a blank expression on her face. "Well I would
gladly do some work, if there was any for an omega like me...", she replied sarcastically in a polite way. The she-wolf stood up and shook herself before she returned her attention to Cyrus again. "I'm Branwen... Pleased to meet you Cyrus.", the omega said giving him a slight nod.

:icontisea:

Blue eyes narrow a fraction and Cyrus smirks, Sassy wasn't she.... "Darlin', there is always something for you to do, and always those who are willing to assign tasks. The rank of Omega doesn't omit you from pack work.. if that were the case I never would have advanced," he drawls, a smirk tugging at the corners of his maw. Cyrus glances around before nodding his head, "A pleasure Branwen. Come with me.." He turns trotting along the edges of the main den site before checking to make sure she was following, he turns and continues out into the thickening forest, head level with his shoulders. He doesn't say much as they walk but soon pauses and waits for her to join him.

:iconk-loud:

Branwen sighed a bit, stood up and shook herself quickly, before she watched the older wolf go. The black she-wolf followed Cyrus, mumbling something under her breath. Things like, "seriously..?" Or "why can't he just leave me alone...?". Anyway as the black omega was lost in thoughts, she looked at the ground forgetting about her surroundings. Of course she did watch her steps, when it came to stepping over some big fallen and rotten branches, but she almost did not notice that, the grey wolf was standing right in front of her. When she almost walked into Cyrus, Branwen halted in the last second rapidly and her green eyes shone a bit embarrassed about her mental absence. But she covered it or at least tried to cover it with a apologetic and respectful nod, and with looking around at the trees. She didn't like when others thought of her as clumsy and silly and it did quite bother her a bit inwardly. "Uhm... So... What are we doing here..?", the black and grey female asked politely, as she stared up at some trees looking at the now clouded sky above them.

:icontisea:

His ears flick to mumbled words of the female, the phrases only bring a smirk to his muzzle. Ahh youth. WHat's he talking about, he's still a brat. He waits until she's back in this world and only grins before flicking his ears forwards and tilting his large head to one side, "So.. Branwen... what is it you wish to do within Havir?" he questions curiously, "Be a guardian.. a hunter.. a healer.. you must have some plan?" The ashen male waits patiently for her to answer though he does blink and glances around, "I brought you here to teach you. You may think you have no job, but you can help in more ways then you know. For instance.. finding game trails and letting the hunters down if there is big game about, or simply smaller options, so they know how many hunters to send in a party. Or, finding scents and trails of bigger beasts that the guardians may need to look into and decide it's threat level..."

:iconk-loud:

Her eyes shone a bit amusedly at the other wolf. She started to open up a bit to this older gray wolf. He was not boring, she had to admit, but still he seemed a bit to be kind of pretending to be older even though he wasn't. Anyway, she looked around calmly and then back at Cyrus. "Id like to become a huntress... Healing is not my thing and I'm too slim to be a good guardian. So yeah because of my light figure in perfect for hunting, I think. I know it sounded a bit arrogant...", Branwen said politely and smiled a little but, before returning to her neutral self. A crow caught the black she-wolfs attention for a short moment, but she quickly returned it to Cyrus, not wanting to be rude.

:icontisea:

The Guardian shakes his head, "Not arrogant at all. You can't be a good huntress if you don't already believe in yourself after all," he rumbles. The male nods down to the bushes and various sticks and bramble, "You can help the pack by located trails.. picking up scents of game, and relaying the message to the hunters. Who knows, they'd probably bring you with them. Just one wolf could mean the whole pack eats or doesn't eat after all." That roguish smile flicks across his maw before his blue eyes flit back down, "So Branwen... where's the trail?"

:iconk-loud:

As the omega heard what the Guardian said, she turned her head towards him and gave him a glare. "I never said I don't believe in myself.... I just don't want to seem arrogant and rude. That's all...", the she-wolf grumbled and started sniffing the air searching for scents. A rabbit, but the scent was quite old. Another one was there which she couldn't define because it seemed like it was an old one too. So she lowered her head and found a fresh deer trail and walked over to some bushes. Branwen halted and looked at the others "are you coming or not?", she asked.

:icontisea:

Cyrus huffs a deep rumbles of a laugh, "Easy killer. I didn't say you didn't believe in yourself." The male smirks, an ear twitching to the side in amusement. She was feisty that's for sure, looks like Havir got themselves a good one! After all, the weak didn't make it long here, especially with the coming winter. As she locates the deer trail and calls back to him Cyrus smirks and nods his head, "After you, m'lady." The guardian trots after the other but stays a few paces behind so he can watch her tracking methods.

:iconk-loud:

Branwen looked at him. "Don't call me "m'lady", sir.", she told him smiling at him and heading off. The black omega looked around and sniffed the ground and the air, following the trail quietly. The she-wolf halted after a while of walking and her ear twitched slightly as she heard something infront of her. She walked quietly towards the bushes and peaked through then. And there the deer was. It was a male one, eating the young
leaves from the bushes. She turned around carefully, luckily the wind was waving from the opposite side. "Cyrus... There it is...", she whispered quietly, without scaring the prey.

:icontisea:

The male smirks and nods his head, "Yes ma'am." He beams a grin to the Omega before hunkering down beside her and glancing into the bushes. Spying the buck he nods his head approvingly, voice a low rumble, "Good job Branwen.. good job. Would you like to go back and get some hunters, or do you feel confident enough to bring this buck down with me?" The male glances over at her, a brow arching curiously while he sits patiently waiting for her response.

:iconk-loud:

"I'll hunt it down on my own... Because I learned it long ago.", she mumbled back and lowered herself. She kept quiet and sneaked forward, very quietly and watching her steps, so she wouldn't step on a branch or something like that. The buck didn't notice her for bow and she kept on sneaking towards it. Just when she came close enough the buck got scared and Branwen leaped out at him. She bit it's throat and kept on cloning on it. She signaled Cyrus that she could need some help.

:icontisea:

A brow arches at the others comment and Cyrus grunts, "Very well." He waits, watching patiently. Taking down a full grown buck on ones own wasn't an easy task that's for sure so the ashen male was rather curious to see what tactic she would use. As she spooks the deer and lunges after it's retreat, Cyrus' ears twitch forwards alertly. Her signaling for help brings the large male forward and he quickly closes the distance between himself and the combating pair. Bringing himself around to the other side of the creature, Cyrus clamps large jaws on the back of its leg causing the beast to stumble. He moves to latch onto the creatures neck, helping Branwen pull the beast all the way to the ground, using his weight to pin it and clamping it jaws around the creatures throat until it ceases to move, all save a slight twitch.

Cyrus stands, licking blood from his chops and fixes a rather stern if not slightly amused stare on the other. "While being sure of yourself and your abilities is an aide, overconfidence can get a wolf killed. Being part of a pack is knowing your own limitations and accepting the help of those who are now part of your family. Don't get cocky." Ears twitch and he indicates the fallen buck, "Now. Help me carry this back to our Alpha. Perhaps this gift from you will earn you some favor as well as a slight push out of Omega?"

:iconk-loud:

Branwen huffed a bit at his comment. "Well... I at least tried to take one down. At it's a good lesson for me...", she grumbled, a bit. But there was slight amusement in her voice as she spoke to him. She grabbed the buck and started carrying the prey with Cyrus.

After a while they arrived back in the camp. The pack started eating, while Branwen watched them contently from aside. She let out a small breath of amusement and scratched her ear. "We should go for a walk more often.", she gave him a big smile and looked back in front of her. "You're not so bad as I thought in the beginning...", the black one teased.

:icontisea:

The Guardian smirks from around his mouth-full of deer as they begin to drag it back to the main densite, the male remaining quiet the entire way back. As they arrive, the kill is presented to Saurugol and when the Alpha allows it the pack begins to eat. Cyrus briefly explains how Branwen tracked and majorly brought down the buck before making his way back to the ebony female. He laughs at her comment, large head shaking side to side, "Don't kid yourself, I'm awful," he jests. Cyrus throws her a wink before nodding his head somewhat, "Nice job today. You'll do well here I think.. I'll see you around Branwen." The ashen guardian gives her a somewhat crooked wolfish grin before turning and trotting back out to the borders of Havir to resume the post he was supposed to earlier.

:iconk-loud:

Branwen chuckled a bit and nodded. "See you.", she said as the ash-grey male walked off into the woods again. The black omega stood up herself and walked off searching for other tasks.
Summary: Cyrus stumbles across a new Omega, and seeing as how she doesn't look busy, he puts her to work.
